Memorandum of collaboration signed with IIJ, TOPPAN, and Toyota Tsusho
On 23 July 2025 we signed a memorandum with Internet Initiative Japan Inc., TOPPAN Holdings Inc., and Toyota Tsusho Corporation on building and deploying a digital platform to improve maternal and child health in the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire.
The four companies will develop and introduce a digital maternal and child health record application. Midwives will enter and share antenatal records from a smartphone, and mothers will be able to view those records on their own devices at any time. Alongside the application, the work covers a system that consolidates medical data such as immunisation history, and a micro data centre installed locally.
AfricanMothers is responsible for the design, development, and operation of the mobile applications, and for collecting and analysing the data.
