Our work in Tanzania featured in an NHK documentary

A documentary covering our mobile maternal and child health work in Tanzania was broadcast on NHK World, NHK's international service, and on NHK-BS in Japan. The programme was titled "Sharing the Future: Saving Mothers with a Mobile App - Tanzania".

It followed the effort to raise attendance at antenatal visits in Tanzania, where maternal mortality is high, through a mobile chart application for midwives and a maternal health record application for mothers. The applications were developed over four years of joint research with Kyoto University and Hiroshima University.
